PRODUCING FILMS AGAIN IN 2021
I’m very proud to present the (US) premiere of “Sweet Thing (2020)”. The film will hit theaters this June 16 at the Tribeca Film Festival 2021. Also, this would be my second time in Tribeca as an Associate Producer. – Omar Figueroa, May 16, 2021.

TRAVEL VIDEOS ARE ON THE WAY!
Hope everyone is okay, it’s been 2 months since my last post. Things are looking up and we will see little results. I managed to get several licensed theme songs for all my travel videos and some additional stock footage. They are all picture-locked and ready for streaming. Trying to find the right date to launch them. – Omar Figueroa, March 8, 2021.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021!
What a year it has been for our world. Wishing everyone a brighter and safer year in 2021. Godspeed. – Omar Figueroa, Jan 1, 2021.

BACK TO THE MOVIES!
My official page is finally updated from scratch. And with a new section of movies to review. I was able to see Christopher Nolan’s Tenet at IMAX Caribbean Cinemas in Carolina, Puerto Rico the other day. It was a different experience since COVID-19 is still in Puerto Rico. The interior of the theater was completely safe and everyone wore a mask for the safety of others. It’s been 6 months since we haven’t seen a movie in theaters. – Omar Figueroa, Oct 5, 2020.

STRANGE TIMES IN PUERTO RICO
Y algunas empresas comienzan a abrir temprano. Mantente a salvo (Stay Safe), Te veo pronto 😉 – Omar Figueroa, June 12, 2020.

2020 UPDATE BY YOURS TRULY!
Little Miss Sumo by Matt Kay was released on October 28, 2019, on Netflix. I became an Associate Producer in a Netflix Original Documentary (a dream and a blessing). I also have plans to invest in another project at the end of 2020 as an Executive Producer. – Omar Figueroa, Oct 28, 2019.

TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL 2019!
I’m honored to be part of this amazing team as an Associate Producer. Our documentary WOLF, “Little Miss Sumo” (2018) will enter Tribeca Film Festival (NY) this April to May 2019. Congratulations to all! – Omar Figueroa, March 21, 2019.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2019!
I’m proud to share all the projects that I have been working on since last year. Wonders of Life, Little Miss Sumo (BFI, ESPN, Tribeca), and The Last Thing He Wanted with Anne Hathaway and Ben Affleck (Netflix). It’s going to be a fun time at the movies. – Omar Figueroa, January 17, 2019.

NETFLIX IN PUERTO RICO!
Hi, just wanted to let you know that I had the pleasure to work for Netflix in Puerto Rico this past June. – Omar Figueroa, August 18, 2018.

BACK WITH BIG NEWS!
I’m proud to announce my first associate producing credit on a feature film, “Cats Kill” (2018). I’ve kept it a secret for almost a year; can’t wait for you guys to watch it when it hits streaming services. In the meantime, you can watch it on iTunes for 5 dollars, not a bad deal if you ask me. Much love. Your friendly, Rican friend! – Omar Figueroa, January 24, 2018.

WONDERCON 2016 WAS WONDERFUL!
Last Friday, I had the chance to visit WonderCon at The Los Angeles Convention Center! This was my first Con in the states! I normally go to Puerto Rico Comic-Con aka PRCC, which is sort of like WonderCon, but about 25% less space, still… It’s an amazing event that everyone should visit! Back on Friday, I recorded 80 shots with my Canon 7D for 7 hours, and so far I’ve been editing it on Avid Media Composer for about 2 days! I’m planning to upload it later today and the video’s running time will be close to 10 minutes! I hope you guys like it! Lots of amazing cosplayers and collectible action figures! – Omar Figueroa, March 31, 2016.

I WISH YOU A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It’s been a while since I last wrote anything on my official website, but I just wanted to say: this year has been an amazing adventure! I went to one of the coolest film festivals in Puerto Rico, landed a full-time job as a Live Editor/Camera Operator for XSN (The best shopping network for geeks) and TheOneRing.net. I met new friends, and the best part is that I’m making a living of my own. Feeling blessed and I’m truly thankful for everyone who has been supporting me in these past few months! I wish you all a happy new year! – Omar Figueroa, December 29, 2015.

THE LAND OF THE REMEMBER!
Proud to announce that Omar Figueroa Films has a new YouTube page! There are two brand new videos at the moment, one of them will be my short film, The Darkness Peering. It is the first time I have ever released the short to the public. I’m very proud of the work I did and I just want to give thanks to everyone who was involved in the making of this long journey. Oh, almost forgot to say this… Happy Day of the Dead everyone! – Omar Figueroa, November 1, 2015.

WHERE’S A SILVER SHAMROCK MASK WHEN YOU NEED IT?
This is my favorite time of the year, and I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Safe Halloween! P.S. The clock is ticking. It’s almost time if you know what I mean! – Omar Figueroa, October 31, 2015.

ADVENTURE IS OUT THERE!
I’m very happy to announce that on Sunday, September 27 I will be releasing my Disney Family Vacation 2015 video is titled: Our Family Reunion: A Disney Adventure, which is big, it’s 40 minutes of non-stop fun from start to end. If you’re a Walt Disney fan, you will love this short film! – Omar Figueroa, September 27, 2015.

THE LOST CITY OF POMPEII!
The remastered edition of my original Pompeii short film, Vesuvius: The Broken Empire is now available on YouTube. I changed a lot of things to improve the quality and I’m very happy with the final results. The process of traveling took about 2 to 3 hours from Rome to Naples, Italy. And the recording took me about 2 hours to properly get all my favorite shots. I only added one of the victims of Pompeii because I felt like I was being disrespectful to those who did not survive this horrible event. – Omar Figueroa, August 30, 2015.

A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS!
Hey you, guys! It gives me great pleasure to present to you my official website is titled: Omar Figueroa Films. Here you can find all sorts of content. From previous works to upcoming YouTube edits. My dream was to expand, so I created my page, a page where I can truly share my thoughts about Movies (The Flix-Men), Games, and much more. This website is still in development, so please be patient. Everything will be wrapped soon! – Omar Figueroa, August 23, 2015.

MY FIRST INTERVIEW, EVER!
I’ve been blessed. Had my first interview as a filmmaker with Metro Puerto Rico. Would have never imagined myself giving someone advice about my life in Los Angeles, and always believing in yourself, even in your failures. This day was truly something I will never forget. – Omar Figueroa, May 23, 2015.

THE ISLAND OF ENCHANTMENT, AWAITS!
I’m in Orlando, Florida visiting my family, and the first day of getting here I received an email from a man by the name of Juan Davila, as I kept reading the email, I noticed that it said: President of Puerto Rico Comic-Con Short Film Fest, which I thought in my head that I was not going to get accepted… However, I was wrong, very wrong. I’m honored to announce that on May 23, 2015, I’m heading to Puerto Rico Comic-Con in honor of my short film The Darkness Peering. This is probably my last entry in the film festival junket, but I’m happy that I was accepted for a sixth, and possibly the final time. It’s been a long journey, but a surprising one, and I’m thankful for every moment. Also planning to do a Director’s Cut exclusively on my page. I will be releasing it sometime in September of this year with other projects that I’ve been developing. – Omar Figueroa, May 9, 2015.
